Winter can be a magical time. Dull gray day’s turn dazzling with a fresh covering of snow.  Some of the most dramatic snowfalls are the first of the season before the harshness of winter sets in and fall vegetation becomes trampled. During this November snowfall I found the last tenacious golden leaves clinging to the branches of this maple tree. Their resistance was fleeting. Snow and wind eventually  forced them from the tree scattering them over the freshly fallen snow.
