For those who have not experienced some of the worlds' largest trees in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, it is hard to imagine their immensity. They have been growing for thousands of years to reach heights of over three hundred feet and sizes of up to forty feet in diameter. Their rich, red bark provide a stark visual contrast to the green of the forest. The best way to experience them is to take a walk among these silent giants.
