No one picture or description can capture the immensity of the redwood forests of the northern California coast. The worlds' tallest trees can grow to over three hundred feet with life spans that can approach two centuries. These towering giants prefer cool, damp weather. They find solitude from the warm, California, summer sun in the fog created by the cool waters of the Pacific. Even a quiet walk through these giants provides only a glimpse of their majesty.
