Glacial Rubble
Full Image

Lake Superior is the Largest of the Great Lakes. Along its rugged, wild, and varied shoreline you will find enormous beauty. While many of its more striking natural features leap out and grab your attention, others require more careful searching and examination to find. Such was the case with this small pile of polished, colorful granite pebbles. Rolled and smoothed first by glaciers then by crashing waves, they found themselves deposited in a small crevice at the edge of a long stretch of beach.
