The advancement in camera technology has opened new opportunities for photography formerly reserved for NASA. It requires a sound understanding and ability to adhere to precise techniques. As I began experimenting with nighttime photography one of my first subject of focus was the Milky Way arch. On a clear dark night in spring and early summer one can usually make out the faint band as it arches close to the horizon. With a combination of eight high resolution images taken over fifteen minutes much greater details can be captured. This image showing over a 180 degree view was taken around midnight on a dark/clear night in Split Rock Lighthouse State Park, along the Minnesota North Shore of Lake Superior.

Textured Fine Art Paper prints have characteristics and appearance similar to watercolor papers that give the image a more elegant fine art painting look. After printing the edges are torn by hand and matted in a raised shadow-box style to highlight the torn edges.
