The last two hours of this day was filled with one firework display after another until the Grand Finale! After three days of heavy but gentle snowfall the forecast called for the snow to end and skies to clear. Multiple rounds of heavy large snowfall were followed by a break in the clouds, peeks of sunshine and blue sky, each more dazzling than the other. As the sunset I was treated to an amazing final grand finale. Or so I thought. Not eager to leave after an amazing end to the day I lingered. The air was becoming cool and crisp. I was amazed how clear the view had become showing sharp details in El Capitan and Bridal Veil Falls. The dusk light had turned deep blue as the clouds in the east continued to thin revealing the full super moon above Half Dome. Using a long exposure, I was able to capture the moon hovering over the valley illuminating the freshly snow-covered landscape.
